Streetfight

I ran all the way to the corner
and waited thirty minutes
for someone to show

At three minutes to 12
Leo Kremick came running across the
street
Dodging Volkswagens and a cable car

Thirty minutes later
Rodger Luping parked his ‘55 Ford
by a hydrant
And we waited together
Leo, Rodger, and Me.

At half past one
I left
Stepping on glass
Leo stepping with me
And Rodger Luping drove away.
