Thanks for sharing yor work with me. I have only run over the lines with a quick read, so I won't get into any deep thoughts yet. I may have more later. I'll say this for now: You move your language well through your series of sonnets. They are fun, but at the same time you work in the gaps to get to a serious image or two.

"Institutional Poetry" is one I am going to have to spend some more time with. I think it's your least open poem here, and in that way it is both intriguing and difficult. Though I'll say too that your other poems reveal and don't reveal at the same time. I appreciate a poet--you--with enough skill to play with the fuzzy edges of the confessional genre.

I look forward to giving these another, deeper look. Thanks again for sharing.
Your chess pupil,

Jeff

They are good Stephen even better than good. I would like to take some time and digest and dissect each one.

Crash Sonnet
All I want is to ride my Motorcyle .......Only in Ameri-
CA. One last farwell song to the world. I don't want a
pickle I only want to ride my motorrrrcycle.

For a short time I was in the song.....silly yet true.
I enjoyed this Sonnet....A sonet little song,fr.son sound,
,song. I'm the type of person that breaks out in song
with key line up of words. I checked ....14 lines....but
you knew that.

Enjoyed!!!!

The poem is as a painting in the mind and blood stream of ones body. Thoughts to think on and room for pondering about life itself. Symbols in your writing that could be of any race or gender in its thoughts. I'm amazed by the thoughts of your writings as always Steve. Peace and good health to you and all around you---
