Courtney J. Campbell is a Michigan native, but currently lives in Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil where she teaches English and studies at the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco. Her research centers on the spread of the English Language in this region and on the socio/economic/political influences on this spread. Her poetry and essays have appeared both in print and electronic form in several publications.
