APOCALYPSE NEVER
a poem by Bradley Mason Hamlin

but the
world burns
in clutched fists
knuckles crack
come closer
drift with me
to that summer place
spending
the high tide
together
in a cool breeze
because it all goes
somewhere
lifetimes of
sculptures dissolving
your lips
soft time machines
taking me
for a ride
your body
two novels and a play
lying next to me.
