Travel Where
a poem by Tim Lang

If you were propelled
out of the Ka channel
of the Great Pyramid,
toward the North Star,
at many times the speed of light,
you would very quickly
lose sight
of our solar system.

In the far reaches and coldness of space
the lights would flicker
as they always do.
Some would appear
to move
ever so slightly.

After many years travelling
you would look backwards and forwards
only to notice
that for a very long time -
you have Apparently gone
- Nowhere.
