The Blue Prairie| Joanna M. Weston

that blue stuff going up and down
it's the ocean     hang on
don't walk on it
     Jesus did
     and had to CPR Peter
     when he followed
don't jump in it
unless you're Jonah
and understand whales

climb down     dip a toe in it
      ouch     cold
      this Pacific
swim in it if you must
but remember it goes to Japan
      too far to run

smells bad if you take it home
in a bucket with shells
and a single star-fish
