**Over and Over
|
Mathias Nelson
I came from a man’s penis a little fish who won the race to the gleaming white egg. Too bad life isn’t the same since I’ve become a human never even reaching the finish line. I’ve heard other race winners say that at the end there is a white light perhaps one day I’ll see it crack the shell and end up back in this hell. Until then I’ll move at my own pace lazy fat growing round the waist the slower I go the longer I avoid the reunion like going back to high school years later to see all of those disturbed grins. I think who really wins? Then I hear the deep echoing laughter of the joke the Gods played on me. **first appeared in "Zygote in My Coffee" - Print Issue 3 |
